The intention of this project was to provide a jumping off point for animation with LuxRender 1.3.1.
Although LuxRender is mostly intended for creating still frames, it can produce as many still frames as you instruct it to, creating the necessary image sequence for an animation.
Individual frames were imported as a sequence into Davinci Resolve.
LuxRender 1.3.1 & Blender 2.69
This sixteen second animation consists of two-hundred and forty unique frames running at thirty frames per second. The sequence is then reversed to compose the second eight seconds.
This scene makes used of Bidirectional path tracing and Luxrender's implementation of Metropolis Light Transport to resolve difficult interior light paths efficiently.
